Those of you who are members of I2S or regular followers of this blog probably already know the value and versatility of sketches. They can be used “as is” or flipped, rotated, stretched, doubled, etc. to make a single sketch into dozens of layouts. Don’t have a sketch? Visit the I2S gallery and look for some or order one of the past classes. They are sooooooo worth it!
Today I want to challenge you to use a sketch in a way you might not have before. Pick a sketch and use it to create a scrapbook page, then take your scraps from that page and use them to create a CARD using the SAME SKETCH.
Here is the sketch I used. Feel free to use it yourself. It’s one that Stacey created and I found in the I2S gallery.
Here’s my take on the challenge:
Now it’s your turn. Go to the I2S forum and look in the gallery for a sketch you think would work for both a scrapbook page and a card. Then see if you can meet this challenge.
If you are interested in seeing more pictures of these projects visit my blog post today over on HeathersCreativeBlessings. If you want more ideas and inspiration for using sketches then check out my blog all week long. I’ve got a different sketch every day this week, with the exception of Monday. (I drew a sketch, but didn’t post it. I’m sure you can figure the sketch out pretty easily.)
